Sisters OnlyOne act PlayProduced at Off-Broadway at The Lucile Lortel Theater in 2013
as Part of Sondheim’s Young Playwrights Urban Retreat This one-act play centers on two teenage sisters who find themselves caught between their own growing independence and their older sister's suffocating control. Set in the intimate, emotionally charged space of a shared bedroom, the story unfolds as simmering tensions boil over into raw, unfiltered confrontation.
The older sister, convinced that strict rules and tough love will protect her younger siblings from the world, clashes with their desire for freedom, individuality, and self-expression. As secrets surface and loyalties are tested, the play explores themes of family dynamics, power, and the complicated ways love can both nurture and confine. By the final moments, the audience is left questioning whether the sisters’ bond will bend, break, or transform under the weight of their conflict. |
